Kathmandu
The Kathmandu valley has an exotic setting. A tier
of green mountain wall above which tower mighty snow
capped peaks surrounds it. It consists of three main
towns of great historic, artistic and cultural
interest: Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur. The
Kathmandu valley covers an area of 218 Sq. Miles. It
is situated 1360 m. above sea level. The seven world
Heritage Sites in the Kathmandu valley designated by
the United Nation Educational, and Cultural
Organization (UNESCO) are the highlights of the
valley. Nepal is the only country in the world where
seven world heritage sites within 20 km radius. |
Pokhara
Pokhara,
situated at altitude of 827m and 200 Kms west of
Kathmandu is the next favorite destination after
Kathmandu for many adventure and pleasure trips in
and around. It is the place to watch beautiful
mountains and start off major trekking and
expeditions. Pokhara is home to thick forests,
gushing rivers, clear lakes and Himalayas. The
majestic Machhapuchre (Fishtail) rising behind the
hills reflects in the serenity of Phewa Lake. The
close up views of the seemingly nearby magnificent
peaks; Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Machhapuchre, Annapurna
and others provide us with immense pleasure and
unforgettable memories. There are wide choices of
trekking trails around the mountains. An enchanting
Himalayan valley surrounded by beautiful snow-caped
mountains, with magnificent lakes of crystal-clear
water and all-year round pleasing weather is Pokhara. |
Sarangkot
The highest point of Pokhara, on the ridge
northern part of Phewa Lake, Sarangkot is a popular
mountain and sunrise viewpoint. It has substantial
little villages near the top that can provide food
and accommodation. An afternoon walk to the village
to spend the night and enjoy the views the next
morning is an exciting experience. |
Paragliding
Nepal must be the most unique aerial experience
for exploring the Himalaya, searching for the
Ultimate adventure. This flight gives you the thrill
of high flight as we thermal up above Sarangkot in
the company of eagles and vultures for about 30 min
to 1 hour. A highly professional pilot will fly you
with separate harnesses that are attached to each
other as well as the wing and you will feel like
sitting in an armchair with no compromise on safety.
Once launched you can sit and be amazed with the
epic scenery being a photographer. The time will fly
with you and can’t imagine that you are already 1200
ft down in the bank of beautiful Phewa Lake. |
World
Peace stupa
The
World Peace stupa rises 35 m and thirty-seven steps
take you up to the second tier where four Buddhas
face the cardinal directions. This is a popular
spot—pilgrims, picnickers, young lovers, tourists
and even the occasional film crew come here.
Everyone is welcome to use the meditation hall of
the stupa. The best time to visit is early morning
as you will feel there is no place in the world is
that ideal for peace than World Peace Stupa as dawn
rises to morning the surrounding is colorful and
tranquil. Phewa Lake spans between Andu Danda and
Sarangkot, the mountains range and the sky reflects
their image in its depths. On a clear day you can
enjoy the view of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna,
Machhapuchre and Lamjung peak along with Manaslu,
Himalchuli and even Ganesh Himal. |
Seti
River Rafting
This river made of the water that melted off
from famous mountains like; Fishtail, Annapurna as
well as from Modi river flowing down from
magnificent mountain valley. Our water run starts at
the Union of this river with the Modi. Most of the
year, the Seti is famous for its dazzling scenery as
a gentle river, attracting families, bird watchers,
nature lovers and dreamers. The vegetation along the
river side is a remnant of the vast forested area.
This area is inhabited by Magar who are renowned for
generations of service with the Gurkha forces.
Saranghat is a colorful middle hill village where
you will have first night's camp on a spacious beach
below the village. |
Chitwan
The
beautiful World Natural Heritage site, Chitwan
National Park, located 166km southwest of Kathmandu
and nearly 204km southeast of Pokhara, is the main
attraction of Chitwan and is home to variety of
flora and fauna. Covering an area of 932 sq.
kilometers the park extends over deciduous forest
foothills and river floodplains, being one of
Nepal's largest forest area with wide range of
wildlife like the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger, rare
one horned rhinoceros, several species of deer,
sloth bear, leopard, wild boar, gaur, wild elephant,
four horned antelope, striped hyena, pangolin,
Gangetic dolphin, monitor lizard, python. The swampy
areas of Chitwan provide home for numerous species
of crocodiles and Dolphins. Rare and endangered fish
eating Gharial, Gangetic crocodiles and four species
of fresh water dolphins. Bird watching is another
attraction as it is habitat of 815 species of birds
with possibilities of watching more than 450
species. Some of the resident species are Peacocks,
Woodpecker’s Hornbills, Bengal Florican and Giant
Hornbill, Lesser Florican, Black Stork, White Stork
and Redheaded Trogons. Winter birds such as
Waterfowl, Brahminy Duck, Pintails and Bar headed
Geese are some of the cold weather visitors. In the
summer the forest is alive with migrants such as the
Flycatcher, the Indian Pitta and Parakeets. The park
is actively engaged in the scientific study of
several species of wild flora and fauna.
