GOKYO LAKE
 

The most spectacular of the valleys in the Everest region is the Gokyo Valley. While following the trail to Everest Base Camp many suggest that the view from Gokyo Peak is the best and panoramic than seen from others. The highlights of this region is the sensational Ngozumpa Glacier, one of the largest in the Nepali Himalayas, the lakes at Gokyo, and more over the trek to the top of Gokyo Kang (5360m) from where four 8,000-metre peaks: Cho-Oyo (8153m), Makalu (8475m), Lhotse (8511m) and, of course, Mount Everest (8848m) can be viewed.
A magnificent mountain flight takes you to Lukla, the trek start point. Following the Dudh Koshi river valley you reach Namche Bazaar then you trek on a steady pace allowing ample time for acclimatization and enjoying the well renowned Sherpa hospitality as the trail to Gokyo is a gradual ascent up the valley. The mountain views are impressive through small yak grazing settlements where we make stop over for two nights, which will include climb to Gokyo peak. Our return route crosses to the opposite side of the valley and passes through the village of Phortse and on to Thyangboche monastery, a most magnificent location to have rest to enjoy the incredible scenery and magnificent views of Everest, Ama Dablam (6856m), Kantega (6809m), Kwangde (6194m), Nuptse (7879m), and Lhotse (8511m)

Day 01	Kathmandu – Lukla (L, D) Fly 30 minutes to Lukla (2840 m) and trek to Phakding (2640 m) 04 hrs. Overnight at the tented camp or Teahouse Lodge – Full board basis.
Day 02	Phakding – Namche Bazaar (B, L, D) Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar, (3440 m), 06 hrs. Overnight at the tented camp or Teahouse Lodge – Full board basis.
Day 03	Namche Bazaar (B, L, D) Rest for acclimatization. Overnight at the tented camp or Teahouse Lodge – Full board basis.
Day 04	Namche Bazaar – Phortse Dranga (B, L, D) Trek from Namche Bazaar to Phortse Dranga (3800m), 05 hrs. Overnight at the tented camp or Teahouse Lodge – Full board basis.
Day 05	Phortse Dranga – Machhermo (B, L, D) Trek from Phortse Dranga to Machhermo (4410 m), 06 hrs. Overnight at the tented camp or Teahouse Lodge – Full board basis.
Day 06	Machhermo – Gokyo (B, L, D) Trek from Machhermo – Gokyo (4750 m), 05 hrs. Overnight at the tented camp or Teahouse Lodge – Full board basis.
Day 07	Gokyo (B, L, D) Visit Gokyo-Ri (5340 m) and the surroundings. Overnight at the tented camp or Teahouse Lodge – Full board basis.
Day 08	Gokyo - Dole (B, L, D) Trek from Gokyo to Dole (4040m), 05 hrs. Overnight at the tented camp or Teahouse Lodge – Full board basis.
Day 09	Dole - Namche Bazaar (B, L, D) Trek from Dole to Namche Bazaar (3440m), 06 hrs. Overnight at the tented camp or Teahouse Lodge – Full board basis.
Day 10	Namche Bazaar - Lukla (B, L, D) Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2840m), 07 hrs. Overnight at the tented camp or Teahouse Lodge – Full board basis.
Day 11	Lukla – Kathmandu (B) Fly to Kathmandu (30 min) and transfer to hotel.
